How To Make A Zombie Bite (easy)

How many Walking Dead fans are out there?  I’m definitely one!!!  When Mack and I first moved up to the D.C. area we binged watched the first several seasons of TWD on Netflix.  You talk about having some wild nightmares….So in celebration of season 8 starting back, I’m bringing you a two part “how to” zombie post.

But first you have to start with the dreaded zombie bite and here is a simple way on how to create one.

What you’ll need:

  • Paper towel
  • Elmer’s glue or liquid latex
  • Red face paint & lipstick
  • Red blush or eyeshadow
  • Brown, purple and black eyeshadow
  • Green and yellow paint or shadow
  • Foundation or concealer
  • Hairdryer (optional)

Get the look:

  1. Start by ripping a paper towel in half.  Then line the edges of your upper teeth with lipstick and bite onto the paper towel and create a bite mark.  Repeat with lower teeth.  (This doesn’t taste the best but it creates a realistic bite mark.)  Rip the bite marked paper towel into two small pieces.
  2. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the area you want your bite to be and press the paper towel onto it.
  3. Allow to dry and apply another layer of adhesive.  Rip up more small pieces of paper towel and apply over the bite.  Allow to dry again.  (You may have to go in with the lipstick or red paint in between layers to keep the teeth marks prominent.)
  4. Repeat the process a few times to build up the bite.  Use a hairdryer on the cool setting to speed up the drying process.
  5. Once you get the desired thickness of your bite, take a spatula knife or something that you can hole out the teeth marks with (very carefully, please don’t stab yourself).
  6. Apply foundation or concealer the same color as your skin tone over the bite mark to blend into the skin.  Then fill in the teeth marks once again with red lipstick or paint.
  7. Now the fun part…time to add the bruising and infection.  You can go in any order, just start stippling brown, purple, and red shadows all over the bite for the bruising.  Once you finish that, alternate between yellow and green and add the infection portion.
  8. Next take the black shadow with a thin eyeliner brush and add veins coming out of the bite.
  9. Stipple blood all around the bite and into the teeth holes.
  10. Wait for the infection to take place  🙂
